Meat Box offers this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.

By visiting our site and/ or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Service”, “Terms”), including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink. These Terms of Service apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/ or contributors of content.

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before accessing or using our website. By accessing or using any part of the site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, then you may not access the website or use any services. If these Terms of Service are considered an offer, acceptance is expressly limited to these Terms of Service.

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.

You understand that your content (not including credit card information), may be transferred unencrypted and involve (a) transmissions over various networks; and (b) changes to conform and adapt to technical requirements of connecting networks or devices. Credit card information is always encrypted during transfer over networks.

You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any portion of the Service, use of the Service, or access to the Service or any contact on the website through which the service is provided, without express written permission by us.

The headings used in this agreement are included for convenience only and will not limit or otherwise affect these Terms.

SECTION 5 - PRODUCTS OR SERVICES

5.1 Order Process

We reserve the right, at its sole discretion, to accept or reject the order once you have completed and placed your order.

You will receive online confirmation that your order has been received by us after you place your order on this Website. This online confirmation that your order has been received by us does not constitute acceptance of your order. Rather, the confirmation of acceptance, rejection or cancellation of your order will be delivered via an automatic e-mail to the e-mail address associated with your account.

5.2 Pricing

We reserve the right to adjust prices, charges or fees in our sole discretion, at any time and without notice to you. All prices shown on the Site and/or in the App are in Canada dollars. Any applicable taxes and other fees or charges are not included and are additional to any prices shown on the Site and/or in the App.

5.3 Images
Product images shown may differ slightly from the actual product due to differences in monitors or angles.Some products may have an associated image or photo. These are for reference only and should be considered illustrative. 

5.4 Rejection or Cancellation of Orders

We may reject your order before acceptance or cancel after acceptance. We reserve the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept or reject your order for any reason and we will contact you at the e-mail address provided by you to accept or reject your order. In the event that we reject your order, we will have no obligation to process your order and you will have no obligation to pay us for the order.

5.5 Availability and Limitation of Products

We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to limit the sales of our products or Services to any person, geographic region or jurisdiction. We may exercise this right on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to limit the quantities of any products or services that we offer.

Certain products or services may be available exclusively online through the website. These products or services may have limited quantities and are subject to return or exchange only according to our Return Policy.

5.6 Payment

You may pay for your purchase using VISA, MasterCard, American Express or e transfer and you authorize us to charge the applicable card for the Purchase Price. You represent and warrant that you are authorized to use the designated payment method and that you authorize us (or our third party payment processor) to charge your payment method for all charges you incur for the purchase of.  Your credit card will be charged when we receive your order. If your card is declined by your credit card provider, our Customer Service team will contact you to discuss alternative payment arrangements. Additional fees may be incurred if payment is declined and alternative payment arrangements are required. If your card is rejected by the card issuer and alternate payment arrangements are unsuccessful, your order will not be prepared for pick-up or delivery. We will have no obligation to process your order and you will be advised by email that your order will not be filled. We may make second and/or subsequent attempts to charge your payment method, and/or use any other lawful means to collect payment on any outstanding amounts due to us.

All billing and registration information provided by you to us must be truthful and accurate. You are solely responsible for the unauthorized use of your credit card and for unauthorized charges made on your cards, although major bank credit cards may cover you for unauthorized charges and they may charge you a deductible. It is recommended that you check with the institution that issued your card to find out exactly what your liability is.

5.7 Pick up or Delivery

Your order can be picked up at the designated pick up location or delivered to an address specified by you.

  • In store Pick up – You can pick up your order by choosing “Pick up in store” option at the check-out process. Please make sure to specify what date and time you will pick up.

If you are unable to pick up your order during the business hour (Mon to Fri 08:00~16:00) on the date you chose to pick up, please contact at 1.778.903.2622  as soon as possible to make alternative arrangements.

  • Delivery - If your address is in the specified delivery area, you can get your order delivered. To find out if and when we deliver to your area, please view our delivery schedule and map and enter your postal code to see if delivery service is available to your area. For other questions regarding the delivery schedule, please contact our customer service at 1.778.903.2622

Delivery is free on purchases over $99. Otherwise, a $8 delivery fee will be charged.

Delivery driver will give you approximate arrival time on delivery date. In the case of inclement weather or other events beyond our control that interfere with our ability to deliver your order, we will attempt to deliver your order as soon as reasonably possible. 

Someone is needed to be home at the delivery time because we will not leave your order at your doorstep without your approval. Our drivers will return your orders to the store if there is no one to receive the order. When this happens, you must pick up your order within two days at the Burnaby pick up location. Refunds are not permitted if the delivery was incomplete because you couldn’t receive the order. However, if having your order left at the door that is more convenient for you, we need written approval in the delivery notes of your order to do so when you complete your order.

Our climate-controlled delivery vehicles ensure that your orders will be kept at the correct temperature during transit to ensure freshness and your complete satisfaction. However if your order is requested to be left at your doorsteps, we cannot be held responsible for the freshness of your order due to the weather and other external factors.

 

5.8  Returns and Refunds.

 (i) Our most products at Meat Box are perishable foods, therefore we have a no return or exchange policy. We try to provide a great selection of quality product delivered to your door and guarantee that your order will arrive in great condition when delivered to the address.

(ii) However, if there has been a chance that there is a problem with your order due to the process of delivery, please email info@meatboxbc.com or contact at 1.778.903.2622  within three  3 days of the receipt. Please be sure to include a description of the state of your order and pictures in the state that it was received. In the following circumstances a refund will not be permitted:

  • When the order has been damaged due to the customer’s fault
  • When the condition of the order decreases due to time

 

(iii) If an exchange has been requested, your order must be preserved in accordance to the product, either refrigerated or frozen, until the return date chosen by our company. The cost of the delivery fee there and back will be covered by whichever side is at fault in the circumstances.

 (iv) In the case that an exchange request is made without extra stock at Meat Box, it will be processed as a refund instead. In the case that an order was purchased with a credit card and requested a refund, the transaction will be canceled and in no case will the refund be paid in cash

(v) When placing your order, please enter your shipping address carefully to ensure accuracy and review your receipt/account for any errors. If your order is returned to our store because of an incorrect address provided according to our terms and conditions, we can keep it for two days for you to pick up and you will not be refunded.  In the event an order is delivered late due to an incorrect address or if you are unable to retrieve on the delivery date without prior notification and thawing/damage occurs, you will not be refunded. 

(vi) Cancellation requests can be made by writing to info@meatboxbc.com 2 days prior to the order delivery date.  You are liable for any orders placed or charges that incur prior to the cancellation request. 

 

SECTION 6 - ACCURACY OF BILLING AND ACCOUNT INFORMATION

You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made at our store. You agree to promptly update your account and other information, including your email address and credit card numbers and expiration dates, so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.

 

SECTION 7 - OPTIONAL TOOLS

We may provide you with access to third-party tools over which we neither monitor nor have any control nor input.

You acknowledge and agree that we provide access to such tools ”as is” and “as available” without any warranties, representations or conditions of any kind and without any endorsement. We shall have no liability whatsoever arising from or relating to your use of optional third-party tools.

Any use by you of optional tools offered through the site is entirely at your own risk and discretion and you should ensure that you are familiar with and approve of the terms on which tools are provided by the relevant third-party provider(s).

We may also, in the future, offer new services and/or features through the website (including, the release of new tools and resources). Such new features and/or services shall also be subject to these Terms of Service.

We are not liable for any harm or damages related to the purchase or use of goods, services, resources, content, or any other transactions made in connection with any third-party websites. In no case shall Tasty Box, our directors, officers, employees, affiliates, agents, contractors, interns, suppliers, service providers or licensors be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages of any kind, including, without limitation lost profits, lost revenue, lost savings, loss of data, replacement costs, or any similar damages, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability or otherwise, arising from your use of any of the service or any products procured using the service, or for any other claim related in any way to your use of the service or any product, including, but not limited to, any errors or omissions in any content, or any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of the service or any content (or product) posted, transmitted, or otherwise made available via the service, even if advised of their possibility. In the event that any provision of these Terms of Service is determined to be unlawful, void or unenforceable, such provision shall nonetheless be enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and the unenforceable portion shall be deemed to be severed from these Terms of Service, such determination shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any other remaining provisions.

The obligations and liabilities of the parties incurred prior to the termination date shall survive the termination of this agreement for all purposes.

These Terms of Service are effective unless and until terminated by either you or us. You may terminate these Terms of Service at any time by notifying us that you no longer wish to use our Services, or when you cease using our site.

If in our sole judgment you fail, or we suspect that you have failed, to comply with any term or provision of these Terms of Service, we also may terminate this agreement at any time without notice and you will remain liable for all amounts due up to and including the date of termination; and/or accordingly may deny you access to our Services (or any part thereof).

 

SECTION 17 - E-GIFT CARDE

  • E-Gift Cards are redeemable towards merchandise only online at meatboxbc.com
  • E-Gift Cards are not refundable.
  • E-Gift Cards may not be redeemed for cash, used to purchase any other E-Gift Cards.
  • For any purchase that exceeds the value of E-Gift Card, the balance owed must be paid with one additional form of payment such as e-transfer or other credit cards.
  • Delivery of an E-Gift Card to an incorrect but deliverable email address as provided by the purchaser is the responsibility of the purchaser.
  • E-Gift Cards have no service fees and no expiration dates.
  • Refunds on purchases made with E-Gift Cards will be applied to a E-Gift Card.
  • Meat Box is not responsible for lost or stolen E-Gift Cards. 
  • No change will be given for any unused balance unless required by law.
  • To verify the remaining balance on an E Gift Card, please inquire at 778.903.2622
  • Meat Box reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions from time to time at our sole discretion.

 

SECTION 18 - ENTIRE AGREEMENT

The failure of us to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms of Service shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

These Terms of Service and any policies or operating rules posted by us on this site or in respect to The Service constitutes the entire agreement and understanding between you and us and govern your use of the Service, superseding any prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications and proposals, whether oral or written, between you and us (including, but not limited to, any prior versions of the Terms of Service).

Any ambiguities in the interpretation of these Terms of Service shall not be construed against the drafting party.
